Legacy On A Plate will be hosted at Rosewood Neighborhood Park, Austin’s first public park for the African American community. Today it serves as a cultural hub for East Austin to this day.

General information

The festival takes place from Friday, October 9th through Sunday October the 11th. Each day Legacy On A Plate will offer a signature event— a vendors only mixer and symposium, an outdoor community food festival competition, and a spiritually grounded day of healing.

Friday - Day One: Black Culinary Excellence Symposium & Mixer 

Black chefs, restaurant owners, food trucks | Black-owned wine & liquor brands Panels, workshops & tastings | Professional networking & collaboration 

Saturday - Day Two: Outdoor Food & Music Festival 

Food trucks & retail vendors | Live Afrobeat, R&B, Caribbean & Zydeco | Best Of Show Food Vendor competition, winner crowned “Legacy On A Plate Food Champion”
